Active Learning: Team-Based Learning (TBL) Pedagogy

This one-day practical institute will explore active learning and in particular student-centred pedagogy through cooperative learning. Various forms of group work will be appraised and in particular Team-Based Learning (TBL). Educators will learn about:

• how to nurture peer learning and peer mentoring in the classroom;
• how to use authentic assessments to support the learners and the learning process;
• how to incorporate TBL pedagogy into their teaching.
