Join us for a catered reception hosted by Chilliwack Division of Family Practice and UFV Continuing Education to celebrate the latest graduating class of Advanced Medical Office Assistants (AMOA).
UFV Continuing Education developed the AMOA program in collaboration with the Division of Family Practice to increase office efficiency by training MOAs to expand the scope of their roles and free doctors to focus on patient care.
At the reception, AMOA students will present their capstone projects, all designed with a practical focus to address an aspect of practice in the office where they work.
Projects cover the following topics:

- Patient Triage
- Home Health Wellness (Exercise, Diet, following cardiac event)
- Extended Care Journey
- Pre and Post-Natal Support
- Chronic Disease Assistance
- Group Medical Visits (Diabetes, Pre- and Post-Natal)
- Combining Traditional and Indigenous Medicines
- Human Resources and Hiring Process in Health Care
- Wound Care Assistance
- Alzheimer’s Help for the Caregiver
- Prescription Chair
