As part of the UFV 50 Celebrations – Agriculture Dept and UFV Alumni are pleased to host the first ever UFV Agriculture Alumni Pop-Up Farmers’ Market. The market will feature products grown by alumni of the program from the late 1980’s to 2024.
There will be both electronic (debit card) and cash only booths.
Products that will be available at the market include: cranberries, hazelnuts, potatoes, goat meat (cubed and ground), ground Waygu beef, cheese, microgreens, carrots, beets, Brussels sprouts (bulk and stalks), garlic, rhubarb, apples, blueberries, strawberries, sweet corn, green beans, squash and pumpkins, ornamental plants (food for the soul!)

- Goat meat from Island Goat Ranch (Heidi Lundstrom, Cert ’12)
- Wagyu beef (ground) from Fraser Valley Wagyu (Liam Ritchie, Dip ’20)
- Microgreens from South Side Greens (Mwenda Dyck, Cert ’24)
- Fall Ornamental Plants from Qualitree Nursery (Garry Neels (Cert ’04), Tony Van Oort (founders) along with Stephanie Saccomano, Mindy Neels (Cert ’22) and Chris Knezetic (lead growers)
