Time: 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Automotive Electronic Control software & systems are undergoing fundamental transformations along several dimensions, from Internal Combustion Engine based propulsion systems to Electric propulsion, from active safety to Level 2+ software enabled features, from simple controllers to complex System-on-chip hardware architecture, Software Defined Vehicles, from physics based to data based control algorithm development, Agile design & development methodologies supporting continuous improvement and deployment and over-the-air updates.
These transformations pose many challenges to the verification and validation of these systems. The talk will highlight these challenges and discuss emerging solutions which includes new standards and guidelines. Speaker Profile:Dr. Ramesh S, Senior Technical Fellow, has been with General Motors R&D for more than 15 years conducting and leading advanced research projects in the areas of model-based development of embedded systems and software, rigorous verification & validation and more recently AI/ML based systems. Prior to joining GM R&D, he was a full professor in the department of Computer Science & Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay, India where he co-founded a Centre for Formal Design and Verification of Software. He has published more than 125 research papers in International Journals & Conferences and is an author of more than 25 patents in the areas of modeling, analysis and verification of embedded systems and software. He has been on the program committees of several international research conferences and on the editorial boards of journals. He is leading a USCAR committee and serving as an expert in ISO and SAE committees for developing guidelines for AI/ML based systems. Register for this event through Zoom.
