Faculty Microlectures and Faculty Publication Celebration

Each year, the Research Office invites 20+ faculty researchers to take part in the UFV Microlecture Series by providing a “snapshot” of their research in just two minutes or less!

When: Thursday, February 13, 2025
11:30 am – 12:30 pm, A219, Spirit Bear Café, Abbotsford Campus

• What to expect: Researchers take the spotlight one after the other, in rapid succession, for a maximum of two minutes each to speak about the exciting findings and implications of their research.
• Why we do it: This fast-paced, engaging event is not only fun to watch — it highlights the interdisciplinary nature of UFV’s work, excites students about research, and exposes faculty to the scholarly work of colleagues in other disciplines.
• How to sign up: UFV faculty interested in presenting a microlecture should email RGS@ufv.ca with their name, title, department, and title/topic by Monday, January 27.

Join us in A225 immediately following Microlectures for Faculty Publication Celebration open house, where we showcase published work by UFV faculty members from over the last two years. Light refreshments provided.
