greenSPEAK Seminar Series in conjunction with the
Department of Geography and the Environment Discovery Series present Jorge Macias
Jorge Macias will be presenting a seminar on how exotic species get established in new environments. He will discuss how exotic species are detected and monitored, and the necessary tools that it requires to keep an eye on invading species.
Due to an increase in international travel and commerce, the consequence is the increase in the number of exotic species now arriving and becoming established. These invaders are a threat to our native species and carry a risk of impacting our economy, including our urban landscapes.
See the notices on the Centre for Sustainability Bulletin Boards and Public Notice Boards.
