In July 2012, Jean Brundrit (South Africa), Nina Mangalanayagam (England), and Sarah Ciurysek (Canada) came together in England to participate in a residency and to make new commissioned artworks about Lens of Empowerment themes: women, identity, and place. Their artworks were then exhibited in England as Home/Land (Radar: November 2012) and in South Africa as Land/Home (Michaelis Galleries – July 2013). This exhibition would complete the international tour of all three artist’s participating countries.
