INNER SANCTUARY – Opening Reception

Join mother-daughter duo Paula Funk and Madeline Funk-Foster for Inner Sanctuary, a third-space sensory experience offering refuge and replenishment from the modern world.

Step inside a fully immersive, multi-media installation where layers of fabric transform the gallery into a grown-up-sized, fully accessible blanket fort. Soft light filters through the folds, accompanied by a gentle soundscape, shifting projections, and the warm, grounding scent of cedar in the air. Interactive stations invite quiet exploration, offering materials designed to nourish creativity and stillness. At the heart of the exhibit, a guided meditation encourages you to slow down, reset, and begin shaping an inner sanctuary—one you can carry with you beyond these walls.

Beyond the blanket fort, explore a collection of paintings—both individual and collaborative—alongside installation pieces by the artists. Set aside urgency and embrace the present moment. Here, you are invited to explore the intricacies of being—not as a human doing, but as a human being.
