Intercultural Fluency
This session intends to provide employees and team an introduction and a general level of knowledge about Intercultural Fluency, its concepts and tools. It will provide intercultural fluency training and how to use this tool in an academic environment.
General learning objectives:
- Participants will better understand how valuing cultural diversity and strengthening connections across differences improves employee well-being and workplace engagement
- Participants will examine the different kinds of diversity and gain insight into how one’s own identity shapes one’s own views, values and perceptions in the workplace
- Participants will gain insight into how bias creates obstacles to inclusion on an individual, organizational and societal level
- Learn how to recognize and address bias and actively engage tools and strategies to create more positive and productive diverse teams and workplaces
- Look into Mission/Vision of UFV and explore how Intercultural fluency can be integrated into that
