Explore the world, study abroad! That is the theme of UFV’s International Education Week 2015! With over 50 partner universities, and lots of scholarships available, studying abroad is a great opportunity to travel, get UFV credits, and have an intercultural experience.
Nov 16-20, a number of events will take place in Abbotsford and Chilliwack to commemorate International Education Week 2015.
One highlight will be the event “Around the World in 60 minutes” on Wednesday November 18 from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm in Alumni Hall (Abbotsford Campus), where guests will be transported around the world through the eyes of 60 former study abroad participants. The event will feature their photos and stories. One speaker will be Derek Ward-Hall, who has recently returned from a semester at UFV India (Chandigarh) and spend a semester abroad in France last year.
Derek notes, “you learn a lot more about yourself when travelling.I recommend to all students not to waste any opportunities and travel while studying. It’s awesome”.
Study Abroad Coordinator, Jag Deol will lead information booths every day from 10-2 at a variety of locations in Abbotsford and Chilliwack. Check the UFV events calendar or MyCampusLife events for full details.
