Time: 7:30 am - 6:15 pm
Join the Moose Hide Campaign National one-day men’s fast on Friday, Oct 16.
The act of fasting is a sacred ritual that Aboriginal people and many other cultures and religions have practiced for thousands of years. The Moose Hide Campaign national fast is a pledge to end violence against women and children. We invite men to fast (i.e. refrain from eating and drinking) from sun up until sun down. Everyone can participate in the fast — support is always welcome. We also invite you to break your fast at sun down with a meal with your family, friends, or co-workers to acknowledge your commitment to end violence against women and children and to share your fasting experience.
This is a day for Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal men in communities, organizations, and governments across the country to unite in honour of all women and children.
Predicted sunrise and sunset on Oct 16: 7:31 am and 6:18 pm
