Course description
Learn to provide nursing foot care services within a health care setting and in private practice with this popular course, offered through UFV Continuing Education, taught by industry experts Tannis Sorge and Sandra Tetrault.
This course includes an in-depth focus on:
- Assessment of the foot and lower limb
- Prevention and education for the client with diabetes to assist in preventing diabetic foot complications
- Sterilization and infection control procedures used in reprocessing instruments
- Excellent review of the process and resources needed in starting your own business
On completion, students have their own foot care kit, including four sets of instruments and supplies needed to start their foot care career.

In-class instruction: Nov 20, 2017
Online theory instruction: Nov 20, 2017–Jan 13, 2018
In-class review and onsite clinical practice: Jan 11–13, 2018
