Otherworldly: A Conversation with Robert Wiersema and Kristi Charish.
Robert J. Wiersema is the bestselling author of Before I Wake, Bedtime Story, and four other books. One of Canada’s foremost writers on books, his reviews appear regularly in the Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, Quill & Quire and other magazines, and his Beyond the Bestseller column is featured bi-weekly on CBC Radio. Born and raised in the Fraser Valley, Wiersema now lives in Victoria, BC. He is a professor of Creative Writing at Vancouver Island University and teaches at Camosun College.
Kristi Charish is the author of The Kincaid Strange Novels, Owl and the Japanese Circus, and more. “I write what I love; adventure heavy stories featuring strong, savvy female protagonists, pop culture, and the occasional RPG fantasy game thrown in the mix.” Besides writing, Kristi is also a scientist. She has a BSc and MSc from Simon Fraser University in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and a PhD in Zoology from the University of British Columbia. Her specialties are genetics, cell biology, and molecular biology, all of which she draws upon in her books.
