This month’s speakers
1) Molleen Shilliday is an Assistant Professor of French at the Modern Languages Institute at UFV. Her research pertains to the representation of trauma and empathy in French and Canadian literature, particularly in relation to World War II.
2) Sven Vande Wetering was, in his own words, “born long, long ago in a land not so far away” (Powell River, B.C.). He has worked at UFV since 1998, and has studied at UBC, Concordia University (Montreal), Albert-Ludwigs Universität (Freiburg, Germany), and SFU, receiving his Ph.D. in psychology in 2003. He has a variety of teaching and research interests, primarily centered on social psychology, political psychology, and cognitive psychology.
