Scholarly Sharing Initiative
History of white supremacy in Abbotsford // Antifa and strategies of anti-fascism
Please join us for the January (virtual) session of UFV’s Scholarly Sharing Initiative (SSI), featuring:
Ian Rocksborough-Smith (History) and Olivia Daniel (UFV Student), “The KKK and White Supremacy in ABbotsford: A History Waiting to be Written”
Stanislav Vysotsky (Criminology), “Understanding Antifa: The Organization and Strategy of Militant Antifacism”
The event will be made up of presentations from our two speakers on their current scholarly work, followed by an opportunity for questions from attendees. The goals of SSI are to facilitate interdisciplinary sharing, discussion and support for the great research and scholarly work going on at UFV. In 2020-2021, SSI will be a virtual gathering where members of the UFV community discuss their work. For more information or to offer to share your work at future sessions, please contact any of the
organizers.
