Come out to Abbyfest and support UFV International
“Celebrating diversity in our university” is the slogan of the UFV International Student Association which matches perfectly with the tagline of Abbyfest.
The annual Multicultural Festival which is held at the Ag Rec Centre in Abbotsford aims to celebrate diversity in the community. With over 60 UFV students from 10 countries participating in the AbbyFest Multicultural Festival & Local Food Trucks this Saturday Sept 27 , they are sure to do a great job representing diversity at UFV and representing multicultural contributions to the Fraser Valley.
UFV students are participating in the cultural garden, flag carrying, and will hold a fashion show at 1pm. “The importance of showcasing the different cultures of Abbotsford through food, dance, and song is key to understanding the richness of our community” says Gloria Hwang of UFV International. “The students are really excited to bring a piece of home with them to their new home”.
