Celebrating 25 years of delivering, the CYC degree at UFV, the Child, Youth, and Family Studies Department presents this event free of charge to students and anyone who is interested.
This event is a series of events that CYFS department will be offering in light of our 25-year celebration. We will offer one event per month for January – April this year. Please join us in learning about subjects that would help in most aspects of our lives.
Join Paul Thompson and Glenda Jansen as they candidly share their lived experience, that of an individual who navigated homelessness from the age of 16; for thirty years with an undiagnosed disability (FASD), and that of the person who came into his life with unexpected advocacy and support, resiliency, the power of relationship and connection are woven throughout. Paul and Glenda’s back-and-forth style presentation as they combine facts with story, humour, and love through tumultuous times.
This promises to be an evening of laughter and learning for all future CYC Practitioners, educators, social workers and disciplines related to the study of resiliency, family, and community.
This is a free event and is open to all UFV students, faculty, staff and the community.
