UFV Joins the Fashion Revolution
The UFV Centre for Sustainability & Fashion Department are excited to join the global campaign Fashion Revolution to raise awareness on the social & environmental impacts of the fashion and textile industry. Join us on April 27 in the library rotunda for information, quizzes, giveaways, and more!
The Fashion Revolution campaign was born out of the collapse of the Rana Plaza building on April 24, 2013, in Bangladesh. Fashion Revolution aims to inspire people from all parts to ask retailers “who made my clothes”, while raising awareness about alternatives to fast fashion.
This event marks one of the University’s first campaigns related to sustainable and ethical fashion, and we hope to move forward with suggestions from UFV staff, students, and faculty on other ways we can promote Fashion Revolution and create tangible changes, such as places on campus to drop off used textiles.
