Audition Notice
Audition for UFV Theatre’s production of Mary Zimmerman’s Argonautika: The Voyage of Jason and the Argonauts. Directed by Colleen Lanki.
Audition dates are Monday, August 31 and Tuesday, September 1 from 3 – 7pm.
** Those auditioning MUST be available for call backs on Thursday, September 3 from 3-7 pm.
Performance run is November 12 – 29, 2015 at UFV’s Performance Theatre in Chilliwack (Yale and Airport Road)
Rehearsals begin with a read through on September 9, 2015 and will be held on Monday and Wednesday as well as Sunday afternoons and/or evenings. Participating performers and crew members must be available for all technical and dress rehearsals as well as all public performances.
Auditions will be booked in 1-hour time slots starting 3pm. Please dress in comfortable clothes that will allow you to move. To prepare, please arrive with a familiarity of the script and characters. Those auditioning will be asked to fill out an audition form on the day of the audition, outlining previous performance experience and training as well as work, school, and personal schedule between September and November. While all members of the community are welcome to audition, please note that casting priority is given to those enrolled in UFV’s theatre program.
Callbacks will involve readings of scenes and some more small group/pair work. Callbacks will be booked in 2-hour time slots starting at 3pm.

UFV students participating as actors in main stage productions will receive practicum credits for their participation. Students may also choose to sign up for backstage or front of house roles and receive practicum credits. Backstage roles may include lighting and sound operators, costume dressers, running crew, and make-up and hair assistants.
