Wellness Workshop: Regulating Emotions
This series of free Wellness Workshops are designed to help students strategize how to go beyond merely surviving the semester. Through the course of the academic year you will learn how to cultivate good mental health, develop resilience, and generate healthy habits. The workshops are supplemented with Movement & Mindfulness classes focused on restorative stretching, calming breathing techniques, and mindful awareness. Sign up through CampusLife to earn Co-Curriculum Credit by searching for the organization “SoCA.”
Learn about the functions of emotion, identify emotional triggers you may have, and find practice techniques to regulate emotions. We will also discuss how to cultivate happiness while managing stress and experiencing the spectrum of emotion in healthy ways.
