Kick-Off Event and Photovoice Exhibition: Understanding the Stories of Immigrants and Refugees Living with HIV in Edmonton

Using a photovoice as an advocacy approach, a community-based study was conducted with immigrants and refugees living with HIV in Edmonton. The purpose of the study was to gain a critical understanding of their intersectional challenges and inform national/provincial HIV policies and practices.

In collaboration with the Chilliwack library and the UFV School of Social Work and Human Services, the photovoice will be exhibited at the Chilliwack Library from Dec 1 – Dec 23, 2022. The kickoff event will be held on Nov. 30th at 1 pm.
