Post-secondary students make up Canada’s largest source of new talent. Unfortunately, Canadian grads are experiencing high unemployment rates and gaps in skill-sets, citing a lack of experience as a main barrier to employment.
To combat these issues, Enactus Canada operates this country’s largest post-secondary experiential learning platform. Enactus Canada challenges university and college students to use business and entrepreneurship to address economic, social and environmental issues. Through partnerships with over 70 academic institutions and over 30 top-tier Canadian businesses, Enactus’ 3,300 participating students drove 275 community empowerment projects last year alone that led to the launch of 580 new businesses, employing over 1,900 people and impacting more than 26,000 lives.
In this 60-minute session, Enactus Canada alumna and President, Nicole Almond will share how Enactus creates post-secondary partnerships to drive entrepreneurial development and innovation in students, resulting in more work-force-ready and confident graduates.
