Join us for an open forum on the implications of the development and proliferation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) systems like Chat GPT – an AI text generator – on higher education. The forum will use Chat GPT as a focal point to provide an overview of AI, its functionality, and the possibilities it offers. We will create space to share our concerns about the technology, discuss ways that educators can adapt (or might already have adapted) their teaching methods in response to it, and strategize discipline specific approaches to assessment. This forum is open to anyone interested in learning more about authentic assessment methods and how to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to leveraging AI for enhancing learning in post-secondary education.
