DESCRIPTION:\n2021 BC Studies Conference\nThe Department of History at the 
 University of the Fraser Valley is pleased to host the international\, mul
 tidisciplinary BC Studies Conference on the theme of 'Ways of Being\, Way
 s of Knowing'\, virtually May 6-8\, 2021.  UFV is located in the ancestr
 al territory of the Stó:lō people and we encourage paper and panel propo
 sals that will help build understanding of Indigenous people and the impac
 ts of settler colonialism\, and especially those that can help us travel t
 ogether on a path to greater Reconciliation\n\nWhile we are disappointed n
 ot to be able to welcome participants to UFV in person\, we are excited to
  connect virtually. The conference will still provide presenters and atten
 dees with opportunities for collaboration and dynamic exchange of ideas.\n
