SUMMARY:Call for Nominations to serve on the UFV Senate and UFV Board of Go
 vernors
DESCRIPTION:Be part of governance at UFV\nThe Secretariat office is calling
  for nominations for a seven (7) faculty positions on Senate and one facul
 ty and one staff position on the UFV Board of Governors\, for a three-year
  term beginning August 1\, 2025 to July 31\, 2028.\n\nBOARD OF GOVERNORS\n
 The management\, administration\, and control of the property\, revenue\, 
 business\, and affairs of the University are vested in the Board. For furt
 her information on Board membership and its responsibilities\, please view
  the Board bylaws\, at ufv.ca/board/board-bylaws.\nPositions:\n• 1 facu
 lty member\n• 1 staff member\n\nIf you are interested in being a faculty
  member or staff member on the Board of Governors\, please complete the no
 mination form\, available on the Secretariat website before the deadline o
 f February 2\, 2025 at 4:00 pm. Late nominations will not be accepted. If 
 more than one nomination is received for a position\, an election will fol
 low.\n\nSenate is the senior academic governing body at UFV. Its main rol
 es are to set policies and procedures concerning educational matters\, and
  to act as an advisor to inform decisions made by the University Board. Th
 e Senate typically meets once each month at 1:30 pm on Friday of the third
  week in the UFV meeting schedule.. Senate members are expected to represe
 nt the Senate on at least two Senate standing committee.\n\nOne faculty me
 mber for each of the following faculties:\n-Applied and Technical Studies\
 n-Business and Computing\n-Education\, Community and Human Development\n-H
 ealth Sciences\n-Humanities\n-Science\n-Social Sciences\n\nIf you are inte
