SUMMARY:EFCIE | Verification &amp\; validation challenges and emerging solu
tions for next-gen automotive electronic control systems
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nAutomotive Electronic Control software &amp\; systems are
undergoing fundamental transformations along several dimensions\, from In
ternal Combustion Engine based propulsion systems to Electric propulsion\,
from active safety to Level 2+ software enabled features\, from simple co
ntrollers to complex System-on-chip hardware architecture\, Software Defin
ed Vehicles\, from physics based to data based control algorithm developme
nt\, Agile design &amp\; development methodologies supporting continuous i
mprovement and deployment and over-the-air updates.\n\nThese transformatio
ns pose many challenges to the verification and validation of these system
s.\n\nThe talk will highlight these challenges and discuss emerging soluti
ons which includes new standards and guidelines.\nSpeaker Profile:\nDr. Ra
mesh S\, Senior Technical Fellow\, has been with General Motors R&amp\;D f
or more than 15 years conducting and leading advanced research projects in
the areas of model-based development of embedded systems and software\, r
igorous verification &amp\; validation and more recently AI/ML based syste
ms. Prior to joining GM R&amp\;D\, he was a full professor in the departme
nt of Computer Science &amp\; Engineering at Indian Institute of Technolog
y (IIT) Bombay\, India where he co-founded a Centre for Formal Design and
Verification of Software. He has published more than 125 research papers i
n International Journals &amp\; Conferences and is an author of more than
25 patents in the areas of modeling\, analysis and verification of embedde
d systems and software. He has been on the program committees of several i
nternational research conferences and on the editorial boards of journals.
He is leading a USCAR committee and serving as an expert in ISO and SAE c
ommittees for developing guidelines for AI/ML based systems.\nRegister for
  this event through Zoom.\n&nbsp\;\n\n\n
