Fraser Valley Writers Festival
The University of the Fraser Valley looks forward to welcoming ten acclaimed authors from across the province for a one-day celebration of British Columbia’s literary brilliance.
Headlining the November 4th, 2023 event will be two Governor General’s Award winning authors: Lorna Crozier, poet and Officer of the Order of Canada, and Darrel J. McLeod, Cree novelist, memoirist, and former land claims negotiator.
Keynote addresses from Crozier (After That) and McLeod (A Season in Chezgh’un) will close the day’s events, which will include workshops for aspiring writers and panel discussions with a wide range of poets, fiction, and non-fiction authors.
All events are free and open to the public, hosted out of UFV’s Abbotsford Campus (Room B101). Books by festival authors will be available for sale courtesy of our official bookseller, Western Sky Books.
