SUMMARY:In Common Speakers' Series: Fascism\, Faith\, and the Awkward Art o
 f Being Neighbours
DESCRIPTION:In Common Speakers' Series: Fascism\, Faith\, and the Awkward A
rt of Being Neighbours\n\n\nHosted by the Peace and Reconciliation Centre
(PARC)\, the In Common Speakers’ Series creates space for open\, respect
ful dialogue across diverse religious\, spiritual\, and philosophical trad
itions. Each event brings together two guest speakers for a moderated conv
ersation exploring a shared theme through different faith perspectives.\n\
nThis November\, Fascism\, Faith\, and the Awkward Art of Being Neighbours
welcomes Gen Kelsang Sanden (Buddhist) and Katherine Murray (Anglican) fo
r a discussion on belonging\, fear\, and moral courage in the face of divi
sion.\n\nDrawing inspiration from Jason Stanley’s How Fascism Works\, th
is conversation explores how faith can help us recognize and resist the fo
rces that divide us and how compassion\, mindfulness\, and moral responsib
ility can guide us toward more just and generous ways of living with one a
nother.\n\nOpen to the entire UFV community and free of charge\, In Common
welcomes all who wish to listen\, learn\, and engage with curiosity.\n\n&
