 egistration opens at 9:45 am)\n\nIn this multidisciplinary commemorative c
 onference\, we aim to showcase the role of soldiers and others from undivi
 ded India and examine history and cultural representations of India and th
 e Great War. Papers and exhibition focus on history\, literature\, film\, 
 folklore\, photography\, art\, architecture\, and criticism that explore d
 ifferent contexts\, perspectives\, texts\, and subtexts\, objects\, archiv
 es and artifacts of memory\, memorialization\, and commemoration. Some of 
 the questions that the conference seeks to interrogate will draw attention
  to remembrance\, and more importantly\, the sudden\, but much needed\, su
 rge of attention towards the almost forgotten contribution of Indian soldi
 ers\, especially in the virtual world.\n\nKeynote Speaker: Dr. Amritjit Si
