 ’: Everyday Activism in the Anti-Racist Movement\," on Wednesday\, March

 \nMeet the Panelists:\n\nMAUVEY – musical artist and songwriter\nBorn in
  Ghana\, West Africa\, and raised between the U.K. and Vancouver\, artist 
 and songwriter Mauvey filters his unique batch of alternative music with h
 ip hop\, R&amp\;B/soul\, and 80s inspired synth-wave always alongside his 
 message: Love. The Chilliwack artist designs his projects to distribute Lo
 ve through the creative narratives of intentional songwriting\, intelligen
 t melody\, and hypnotic beat\, and received top honour at the 2020 Fraser 
 Valley Music Awards.\n\nJASMIN KAUR – Writer\, illustrator\, poet\nSpoke
 n-word artist\, writer\, and UFV alum Jasmin Kaur has toured North America
 \, the U.K.\, and Australia to connect with youth through the power of art
 istic expression. Her debut poetry collection (When You Ask Me Where I’m
  Going) and sophomore novel (If I Tell You the Truth) explore themes of fe
 minism\, womanhood\, social justice\, love\, healing\, and reclaiming iden
 tity\, earning her praise as "a rising star" by Vogue Magazine and "Writer
  to Watch" by CBC Books.\n\nPEGGY JANICKI – Indigenous educator\nPeggy J
 anicki (Dakelh First Nation) is an Indigenous mentor\, teacher\, and curri
 culum developer with Mission Public Schools\, holding a Master’s of Educ
 ation in Indigenous Knowledges and Pedagogies from UBC. As a facilitator w
 ith the BC Teachers’ Federation (BCTF)\, Janicki has supported many educ
 ators and students across B.C. and Canada with Indigenizing their classroo
 ms. She has taught subjects ranging from math and history to social studie
 s\, psychology\, emotional literacy\, and social justice.\n\nThis panel wa
