DESCRIPTION:Join us for a screening of “There’s Something in the Water
 ” where Elliot Page brings attention to the injustices and injuries caus
 ed by environmental racism in his home province\, in this urgent documenta
 ry on Indigenous and African Nova Scotian women fighting to protect their 
 communities\, their land\, and their futures.  \n\nBased on Ingrid R.G. 
 Waldron's incendiary study\, the film follows Page as he travels to rural 
 areas of the province that are plagued by toxic fallout from industrial de
 velopment. As did Waldron\, the filmmakers observe\, your postal code dete
 rmines your health. \n\nThe film will be followed by a discussion on envi
 ronmental racism and the hidden politics of environmental issues\, lead by
  Dr. Keziah Wallis.  \n\nThis event is hosted in collaboration with the 
 School of Culture\, Media and Society and the Office of Sustainability.
