Expanding Africa’s Global Economic Footprint: Potential Implications for Canada
Africa’s economic prospects are improving due to demographic momentum, the convergence of structural reforms across multiple markets, and global economic shifts—particularly the green transition and efforts to diversify supply chains to enhance resilience.
This lecture focuses on how Africa’s improving growth outlook could reshape and strengthen its relations with Canada, encouraging greater trade and investment for mutual benefit.
Guest Speaker: Dr. Hippolyte Fofack
Dr. Hippolyte Fofack is a research associate at Harvard University, and a Parker Fellow at the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) at Columbia University.
