DESCRIPTION:President's Leadership Lecture Series with Dr. Robby Zidny\nOn 
 September 28\, UFV will welcome Dr. Robby Zidny\, recipient of the 2025 SE
 AMEO-Jasper Research Award\, to campus as part of his dissemination tour i
 n Canada.\n\nUFV was invited by the BC Council for International Education
  (BCCIE) to host Dr. Zidny\, whose award recognizes emerging scholars whos
 e research contributes to social development in Southeast Asia and encoura
 ges collaboration and knowledge exchange between Southeast Asian and Canad
 ian researchers.\n\nDr. Zidny’s award-winning research\, Science and Che
 mistry Education Innovation through the Integration of Indigenous Knowledg
 e\, explores how Indigenous knowledge can enrich science and chemistry edu
 cation. His visit comes at a particularly meaningful time\, as we approach
  National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30. His presentati
 on and the conversation that follows will provide an opportunity to reflec
 t on Indigenous ways of knowing and the importance of creating space for d
 ifferent knowledge systems to come together through respectful learning an
 d exchange.\n\nFollowing Dr. Zidny’s presentation\, a panel facilitated 
 by Dr. Stefania Pizzirani\, Associate Director of UFV’s Food and Agricul
 tural Institute\, will bring together Dr. Zidny\, Swelchalot Dr. Shirley H
 ardman\, AVP\, Xwexwílmexwawt\; Dr. Daryl Smith\, Director\, UFV Internat
 ional\; and Fabiola Cruz Alderete\, a UFV student in Environmental Studies
 . Together\, they will explore how bringing knowledge systems together can
  deepen our understanding of relationships\, health\, and the world around
  us\, while highlighting the value of collaboration and diverse perspectiv
