 essiman\, Andrea Hughes\, and Shelley Canning\n\nThe Centre for Education 
 and Research on Aging (CERA) has a multi-disciplinary membership and a bre
 adth of research and teaching expertise and experiences related to the exp
 erience of ageing. Currently our research includes studies exploring: memo
 ry in young and old participants comparing First Nations and Caucasian pop
 ulations\; older adults’ use of “new media” technology\; and looking
  at ageist attitudes and the impact they have on conversational interactio
 ns. We are excited to share and engage in a discussion related to our curr
 ent research\, highlighting the importance of increased understanding of t
 he challenges and issues of ageing within the reality of our rapidly incre
 asing demographic of older adults.\n\nAs always — a heartfelt thank you 
 to the College of Arts and the Research Office for their support of this i
 nitiative.
