Stronger Connections, Stronger Futures: Human Trafficking Awareness Panel
Join us for a meaningful and interactive panel discussion in recognition of Canada Human Trafficking Awareness Day. This educational event is designed to deepen awareness and understanding of human trafficking through trauma-informed and social justice lenses, expert insights, and accessible campus and community resources. The event will begin with light lunch, followed by land acknowledgment, and an opening ceremony by indigenous knowledge keepers. Thereafter, the event will feature a panel of leaders and advocates who will share the realities of human trafficking in Canadian contexts by challenging common misconceptions, and oppression, while inviting communities to make commitments towards addressing human trafficking in solidarity. The discussion will also highlight how stronger community connections can lead to stronger futures for those at risk through an interactive Q&A.
This event is open to all students, faculty, staff, and communities at large.
