DESCRIPTION:Public symposium on sustainable food systems\nWill we have enou
 gh food for the future?\n\nIncreasing population degraded land resources a
 nd declining water supply are increasing the vulnerability of global food 
 security. The University of the Fraser Valley in partnership with Aga Khan
  University East Africa Institute and Panjab University will be hosting a 
 symposium to discuss sustainable food systems within the Fraser Valley\, E
 ast Africa and Punjab\, India.\n\nKeynote speakers will be sharing their e
 xpertise on sustainable food systems that range from food distribution\, r
 esource use\, policy and new innovations in production. There will be brea
 kout sessions with the experts followed by a public symposium with interna
 tional guests.\n\nThe speakers include: \n\n	Alex Awiti from Aga Khan Univ
 ersity in Nairobi\, \n	Dhian Kaur and B.S. Ghuman from Panjab University\,
  \n	James Khuns from Ryerson University\, \n	Lenore Newman (UFV)\, \n	Geor
 ge Imbenzi Kenya Consulate Government and Trade\, \n	Orlando Schmidt (Regi
