DESCRIPTION:\nUFV's Centre for Global Development\, in partnership with Com
 munity-Based Research Canada\, presents: 'Symposium on decolonizing resear
 ch: Participatory and community-based approaches.'\nUsing a conversation c
 afé model\, participants will exchange ideas and experiences on how to co
 ntribute to the decolonization of knowledge\, and generate action for soci
 al change. Participants will also learn about innovative\, community-engag
 ed research methods.\n\nCo-generated ideas from this symposium will be cri
 tical inputs for the formulation of a university-wide decolonization of re
 search toolkit and web-based resources.\n\nPlease note\, this will be the 
 first of several opportunities for inputs and discussion for the Research 
 Office’s decolonizing research toolkit and online web resources. This fi
 rst event will focus on participatory and community-based approaches.\n\nR
