DESCRIPTION:UFV Global Game Jam 2026 – Abbotsford Campus\nThe University 
 of the Fraser Valley invites students\, staff\, and faculty from all disci
 plines to participate in Global Game Jam 2026\, an international event cel
 ebrating creativity\, collaboration\, and game-making.\n\nOpen to all expe
 rience levels\, this immersive weekend challenges participants to design a
 nd build digital or physical games in just 48 hours. Whether you’re a se
 asoned developer or simply curious about game creation\, you’re encourag
 ed to take part.\n\n&#x1f4cd\; Location: UFV Abbotsford Campus\, meeting 
 in C1427 to start.\n&#x1f5d3\; Dates: January 30 – February 2\, 2026\n&
 #x23f0\; Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily (campus closed overnight)\n
 \nThe event kicks off Friday morning with an in-person opening session\, w
 here participants will meet\, form teams\, and explore the official global
  theme. Teams may then continue working on campus during open hours or col
 laborate remotely throughout the weekend.\n\nUFV will provide access to ca
 mpus facilities\, equipment\, and computers\, along with technical support
  from faculty in Media Arts\, Game Design and Development (GDD)\, and Comp
 uter Information Systems (CDIS). Participants are encouraged to bring thei
 r own laptops and materials\, particularly those working on physical or ta
 bletop games.\n\n Food: Meals are not provided\; however\, campus food se
 rvices and nearby restaurants will be open.\n What to Bring: A laptop and
  charger\, any creative tools you prefer\, and a collaborative mindset.\n\
 nThe UFV jam site is proudly hosted by the School of Creative Arts (SoCA)\
 , with a special emphasis this year on cross-disciplinary collaboration. W
 e welcome artists\, programmers\, writers\, designers\, musicians\, and an
 yone interested in exploring game creation—digital or analog.\n\n Regis
