The tragedy that struck the Humboldt Broncos junior hockey team as they travelled to a playoff game last Friday was devastating. 15 people died and 14 were injured when the team bus collided with a transport truck on a rural highway in Saskatchewan.
On Thursday, April 12 as part of a larger movement spreading across the country, UFV encourages you to wear a sports jersey – any sports jersey – to show the families and friends of the Humboldt Broncos bus crash victims that we are with them.
Take a photo in your jersey and post it to social media with the hashtag #jerseysforhumboldt and tag @goufv on twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
Show those in Humboldt that while UFV may be a long way from their town, we support them in their grief for the lives and dreams that are now lost.
