DESCRIPTION:ABBOTSFORD\, B.C. UFV Theatre presents "Moth Boy" by Peihwen J.
  Tai.\nDirected by Tetsuro Shigematsu\, "Moth Boy" will run from November 
 27 until December 6\, 2025. This will be the first production of UFV Theat
 re's 2025-2026 season and will be running at the School of Creative Art’
 s Performance Studio on UFV’s Abbotsford campus.\n\nPresented by the UFV
  School of Creative Art’s Acting and Production Classes\, "Moth Boy" is 
 a new play in development written by UBC Graduate\, Peihwen J. Tai. The pl
 ay follows Taiwanese-Canadian Ikari Zao who\, after a sudden tragedy\, spi
 rals into a catatonic depression leading to a surreal metamorphosis into a
  moth.\n\nThe student cast features Alaric Singh (Ikari Zao)\, Ayat Naqvi 
 (Woman)\, Virge Farwaha (Greta)\, Svea Silver (Amber)\, Aidan MacDonald (M
 r. Smith/Ensemble)\, Wyatt Janzen (Mr. Taylor/Ensemble)\, Joey Lim (Unders
 tudy/Ensemble)\, Jash Vashi (Understudy/Ensemble)\, and Harleen Dhiman (Un
 derstudy/Ensemble).\n\nThe student production team includes Avrey Jantz Kr
 ahn (Stage Manager)\, Marie Brideau (Lighting Designer)\, Tavleen Grewal (
 Props Assistant)\, Alvina Kumar (Assistant Stage Manager)\, Sukhsagar Sing
 h (Sound Mixer/Foley Master)\, Tobey Donaghy (Dresser/Costumes Assistant)\
 , and Harmandeep Kaur (Dresser/Costumes Assistant).\n\nProduction students
  are mentored by UFV production class instructor and technical coordinator
  Jared Raschke\, wardrobe manager Heather Robertson\, and production manag
 er Giuseppe Condello.\n\nPerformances will be held in the Performance Stud
 io\, Building D\, Room 105\, UFV Abbotsford Campus\, (33844 King Road\, Ab

 this production should expect some storytelling through movement and ensem
 ble/choral work.\nThis show runs March 19th-28th 2026\, with select perfor
 mances at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre.\n\nDirectors’ Showcase 2026\nA
 pril 2026\nThe Directors’ Theatre Showcase is the final project presente
 d by UFV Theatre’s fourth-year Directing class. It is a chance for stude
 nts to apply everything they have learned in the course and direction a sh
