Weaving Social-Emotional Learning Through Books and Drama
The Faculty of Education, Community, and Human Development is pleased to announce a special presentation from Dr. Kari-Lynn Winters, an award-winning children’s author, playwright, performer, and academic scholar.
Join us for an engaging workshop tailored to adults who work with preschool and primary-aged children. During this workshop, Dr. Winters shares insights from her extensive literacy/arts education and authorship backgrounds, exploring creative techniques that captivate young minds, embrace authenticity, and explore social-emotional learning. Moreover, she shows participants how to infuse rhythm, movement, and imagination to transform words into vivid, immersive experiences that leap from the page. Topics that foster belonging, tolerance, and positive relationships will be explored.
More information about Kari-Lynn can be found on her website: kariwinters.com.
RSVPs are required by October 3. Please reserve your spot by e-mailing FECHD@ufv.ca
