Can Ghana’s Affirmative Action Bill improve Women’s Re presentation in Politics?\n\nGhana has often been portrayed as a role mode l for democracy in Sub-Saharan Africa\, thanks to the relatively peaceful transition of power since the country’s first democratic elections in 19 92 under the 4th Republic. However\, Ghana is behind other African countri es in terms of the gendered aspects of political governance.
