DESCRIPTION:Where is Home? - A Group Exhibition\nWelcoming reception: Wedne
 sday\, October 15\, 11:30 am – 1:00 pm\nOn view: October 10 – November
  7\, 2025\n\nWhere is Home? brings together emerging artists who explore t
 he shifting\, intimate\, and sometimes fragmented meanings of home. Throug
 h photography\, mixed media\, and installation\, the exhibition captures h
 ow home is carried across borders\, embedded in memory\, and shaped by rel
 ationships.\n\nFeaturing Anushray Singh (UFV SoCA sessional faculty) with 
 SoCA alumni and student artists Yukun Lin\, Zee Coulter\, Eddy Rubi\, Pipe
 r Hornall\, Yamel Olivan\, Shaevi Khatri\, Kay Ber and Mithil Dedhia. Each
  artist reimagines 'home' through a deeply personal lens — from everyday
  objects to symbolic connections that bind us across distance and time. Co
 llectively\, the works open a dialogue on belonging\, identity\, and the s
 paces we create for ourselves.\n\nThe work is part of Singh’s ongoing oe
 uvre\, exploring Home\, Nostalgia\, and the Third Space through themes of 
 migration\, memory\, spirituality\, and archetypal patterns. His immersive
  video installations combine archival footage\, projection\, sound\, and p
 oetic text\, transforming the gallery into a space illuminated only by mem
 ory and imagination.\n\nIn its fourth iteration\, Where is Home? expands f
 rom an individual reflection into a collective inquiry — weaving togethe
 r ideas\, felt emotions\, and lived experiences across cultures.\n\nThe ex
 hibition opens on October 10 at the S’eliyemetaxwtexw Art Gallery\, loca
 ted on the UFV Abbotsford campus\, and runs through until November 7.\n\nA
  welcoming reception will be held on Wednesday\, October 15\, 11:30 am –
  1:00 pm in the gallery. All are welcome to attend\, and admission is free
