In this quick paced, community driven workshop, UFV faculty are invited to find and evaluate Open Educational Resources to use in their courses. Facilitated by staff from both the Library and Teaching and Learning, participants will be introduced to OER basics and relevant collections including the BCcampus Open Collection. Participants will have opportunities to find and review OER and consider how they might incorporate them into courses that they teach.
This session will:
• Introduce open education principles
• Introduce participants to a variety of open education repositories
• Provide guidance and support as participants explore and review open education resources to support their courses
• Provide time for conversation around open education (with tea and snacks)
When: Thursday March 7th 2024, 3pm-5pm
Location: UFV Library on CHW and ABB campuses
