Health Sciences Student Posters on Display in the Chilliwack Library
Need facts on Fentanyl? Alcohol consumption? Testicular or breast cancer? These topics and more are on display in a student poster exhibit in the Chilliwack library until the end of April.
Some of the posters were created for the “putting healthy living into perspective for youth” event (https://blogs.ufv.ca/health/healthy-living-youth-event/) held at the Five Corners campus in downtown Chilliwack. UFV students, who created the posters, were on hand at that event to answer questions.
In the library, staff have paired the posters with library resources that are available to take home and read. Library staff can also help find more resources on any of the topics displayed in the posters.
Most of the posters came from Joanna Sheppard’s KPE 451 class. Dr. Sheppard’s students created the posters as part of a final project in which students designed health promotion, fitness and education programs. Poster topics include programs for concussion recovery, mindfulness for mental health, diabetes care, summer fitness camp, knee health, and posture health.
To enjoy these student projects, stop by the library before the end of April.
