Reconciliation at the Tracks?
Historically, Canadians have enjoyed the reputation that they belong to a multi-cultural, peaceful nation. But is it? Many cases over the last decade have challenged this peaceful identity.
Recently, the Canadian government leadership stated that it prioritized reconciliation with Indigenous people, and also prioritized growing the Canadian economy, notably in approving a pipeline project that runs directly through Wet’suwet’en territory in northern British Columbia.
The conflict that has emerged is tense, and has raised important but difficult questions for everyone to ponder, and act on. How can we all move forward in a good way?
Join us for a panel discussion and conversation on this important topic. All are welcome!
