Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP) Course
UFV School of Continuing Education is running Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (HCP) in person at the Clearbrook Center on Saturday, November 1, from 8:00 am – 12:00 pm.
This course is designed to build participant confidence in performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills in a team environment for professionals with a duty to respond such as:
In-facility care providers, including nursing staff, care aides, and allied health professionals
Medical and dental professionals
Pre-hospital care providers, which may include professional in a fire service, search and rescue, sports-medicine, lifeguards and ski-patrol.
Learn the important steps to perform a rapid assessment, perform Basic Life Support (BLS) skills, and perform rapid defibrillation including use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). 1-year certification.
This course meets the CPR requirement for the UFV LPN Access to Bachelor of Science in Nursing Program.
