Homewood Health FREE Webinar for Post-Secondary Educators : Reducing Anxiety & Managing the Transition Back to Class
As COVID-19 continues, the adoption of new policies and procedures to mitigate and control the spread of COVID-19 has extended to classrooms and learning institutions across the country. This school year has brought new and unique challenges for everyone directly associated with our learning institutions, from policy makers, custodial staff, to our retired faculty and active post-secondary educators who all play integral roles in the development and success of each student. We recently hosted sessions to support teachers from K to G12 and given the positive response, we are pleased to announce the addition of specialized sessions for post-secondary educators and persons who work for these centers of learning.
Anxiety is an adaptive response to real or perceived danger. While anxiety is a normal and expected reaction to the pandemic, too much anxiety may cause harm and take a toll on one’s mental health and well-being. Educators, understandably are concerned about the uncertainty surrounding a return to learning environments and may be struggling with keeping worries — both their students and their own — at bay. This one hour webinar will explore strategies for navigating the changes that educators face with greater ease while providing tips and tools to support their psychological well-being during these uncertain times.
