Jane’s Walk Abbotsford
Join UFV in partnership with the Abbotsford Downtown Business Association on May 4th and 5th to take part in the Second Annual Jane’s Walk Abbotsford.
UFV will be hosting two unique walks that will help students and staff connect with our learning environment and space on a social and geographical level.
Sharanjit Kaur Sandhra, co-curator and co-manager of the Sikh Heritage Museum will provide a tour of the Sikh Heritage Museum, a National Historic Site of Canada and Gur Sikh Temple.

Jane Jacobs was an American-Canadian journalist, author, and activist best known for her influence on urban studies, sociology, and economics. She believed in walkable neighbourhoods, urban literacy, and cities planned for and by people.
Jane’s Walk is a series of a free neighbourhood walking tours that help put people in touch with where they live and with each other by bridging social and geographical gaps and creating space for cities to discover themselves.
