Join the discussion! Attend the “Conflict Transformation in Central America: Legacies of Civil War, Migration, and Peacebuilding” event hosted by the University of the Fraser Valley’s Peace and Reconciliation Centre (PARC) and the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) in Abbotsford.
Cesar Flores and Lizzette Miranda, MCC Area Directors who operate out of MCC’s offices in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, will share reflections and insights from their work and experiences in Central America. Their work is diverse in nature, including the legacies of civil war, gang violence, disaster preparedness and response, food security, migration and many aspects of peacebuilding. During this event, Cesar and Lizzette will focus on the aftermath of civil war, including migration of people, and numerous endeavors to establish durable peace in the region.
